Career Philosophy

Since my graduation from the University of Minnesota in 1983, I have enjoyed a rewarding career in the landscape industry. I’m fortunate to have a job where I can be outdoors and interact with so many wonderful clients. My goal is to educate and help our clients maintain the beautiful landscapes we install, along with protecting their investment. I also enjoy adding the accessories to the landscape with the use of colorful annuals, bulbs and winter interest displays.

I like learning about the newest plants, maintenance practices and sustainable landscaping. I also enjoy the experience of mentoring new employees entering the maintenance sales arena.

I spent my childhood on a farm in Minnesota, which naturally led me to a love of plants and animals! I pursued a degree in horticulture at the University of Minnesota and have been in the landscape industry ever since, enjoying both the retail garden center avenue as well as landscape contracting. My current responsibilities include the sales and servicing of residential and commercial accounts, along with the mentoring of other client service representatives. Our goal is to provide personalized service and develop lifelong customers. We also partner with clients to renovate overgrown landscapes and to add seasonal color accents.

Personal Interests

I enjoy gardening and spending an afternoon in my backyard puttering with my plants. My second love is baking, and my co-workers enjoy my weekly “experiments.”

I enjoy spending weekends with my grandniece and nephew, attending Milwaukee’s fun summer events. Whenever I have the chance, I love to escape to the Southwest for some sun and fun.
